I am interested in the opening for director position for the Navajo-Churro Sheep Association. I have raised churro sheep since 2020 under the name Mesa Lamb & Wool. My operation is based south of Durango, CO on the Southern Ute Reservation. My registered foundation ewes are from around southwest Colorado. Since 2020, I have added stock from the Navajo reservation and from other surrounding producers. I cull for kemp and crimp. I’m a spinner and a knitter and I enjoy preserving and promoting this special breed. My husband Erik and I shear our sheep in spring and fall.
